Back in 1993 with a dream and vision to change lives and transform struggling neighborhoods Mark McDaniel sat down at a table with a phone and old style rolodex of names and contact information and launched a novel tax credit fund in Michigan. Twenty-seven years later, Mark remains the founder and CEO of nationally recognized Cinnaire, employing more than 100 team members in nine states.
Since that humble beginning Mark strategically diversified the organization to provide access to permanent debt financing, construction lending, technical assistance, predevelopment lending, youth leadership training, and title services.
Under Mark’s leadership Cinnaire has committed more than $4.76 billion of loans and equity for affordable housing and community development efforts. As a result, more than 811 housing developments have been developed creating more than 49,700 affordable housing apartments, and 76,000 plus jobs.
