The Brothers of Sigma Chi wish to convey to Carl's family our deepest sympathies on their passing.
Our Dad was born on July 20, 1944, in Flint, Michigan to James E. Case and Elva A. Case. He attended Swartz Creek Highschool, in Swartz Creek, MI. He furthered his education by attending and graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Economics, and attending and graduating from Northwestern University, with a Juris Doctor in Law. He passed the Michigan State Bar and proceeded to obtain an MBA in Marketing while clerking for Significant Sig Justice, John Fitzgerald on the Michigan Appellate Court, and then as an Associates Professor at Michigan State University.

In 1972 Dad left Michigan and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He sat for, and passed, the Florida Bar, and began his legal work at Courshon & Berg, a firm specializing in Real Estate Development. In 1973 he became a partner at Price, Byrne & Case and worked there until starting his own private law practice 1976, where he developed a prestigious law firm, specializing in residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Dad developed and re-developed retail shopping centers, and owned six Centers in four different States, at the time of his death. |
In June of 2004, he became the loving father of us, his twin children, James L. Case, III and Elise A. Case. Our Dad loved to travel, and he took us on many beautiful trips, to many corners of the world. He was a selfless man, and he did everything he could to be successful for his children. Dad always put our needs before his own.
Our Dad made us laugh a lot. His wonderful sense of humor and quick wit will be forever remembered by us, and all who knew him.
Dad. We love and miss you more and more, with each passing day. We will always do our best for you, and continue to make you proud of us. We will never forget all of the fun and loving times we had together, even if only for a few short years. Rest in Peace, Angel Dad....we are here holding you forever in our hearts. Please continue to watch over us and guide us from above. James & Elise...XO
